SOUTHAMPTON PROBUS CLUB

Southampton Probus Club was founded by Southampton Rotary Club in 1971 to provide regular gatherings of people who, in retirement, appreciate and value opportunities to meet others in similar circumstances and of a similar level of interest. It is one of several such clubs in the Southampton area.

Meetings

We meet on the second Wednesday of every month at the Southampton Park Hotel. Assembly is at 1200 for lunch at 1245. Following lunch, we have a talk of general interest. Our Christmas Lunch is on the second Wednesday of December. A raffle is run at our monthly meetings to fund participation in our Christmas Lunch by widows of past members.

A Coffee Morning is held on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Southampton Hilton.

We organise visits to local places of interest monthly.

Membership

Membership is open to all professional and businessmen resident in the Southampton area, who have fully or partially retired from their business or profession. Our membership ranges from commercial managers through engineers to academics. The annual membership fee is £15.
